Brand new This Show Totally Rocks Streaming over on Radioactive International . Check it out!
This week I pulled out all the stops, and by stops I mean cans. Things kick off with a bit of Thee Oh Sees who I missed in Whelans last week , then on to The Men , San Diego’s Spider Fever, a new find from Obits (thanks to Spotify), The Big Boys, Dan Sartain , The Spaceshits (another recent spotify find),The Dead Boys and then a bit of mid-seventies Detroit’s favourite sons Death. The second half of the show starts with some Wigging out with a capital Wig. Comets on Fire, Fuzz, Blue Cheer and The Datsuns all kicking out the serious jams before local up and comers The Run Ons bring the focus back to this Saturday’s line-ups of bands and gigs in Dublin. Following the suit of just about every other vaguely punk DJ in Ireland this week Subhumans and Conflict get a bit of air time ahead of their gig in the Button Factory. Rounding things off are a bit of Misfits and Bad Religion, before finishing with a bit The Specials who played two nights in Dublin this week and are always very good. Alright, that’s your lot. Stick it on, play it loud!!!

Dinosaur Jr. picks up the baton for the second song with a song from the latest album. J Mascis moves from guitar to drums for a bit ofWitch, beforeAnnihilation Time turns the whole affair into a rock and roll thunderstorm. A bit of a rock wig out follows with tunes fromBlue CheerandTight Bros From Way Back When. Then it is back to some proper punk rock with a new one fromThe Night Birdswho have just announced a tour withThe Zero Boys. The Adolescents keep the 80’s theme going andThe Spitsadd a bit of modernity, beforeThe Wipersbring it back to the classics, Ian Dury and the BlockheadsandStiff Little Fingerskeep it old school until the new school takes over the proceedings once again. Conor Koresh was asking me about the show I did ages ago withTommy Trousers , so I stuck it up for this week's 2xm show. Me and Tommy had a great time doing this. So much so that we sat about 4 feet back from the mic and talked shite all night. The result is great tunes, a bit of a natter and some fairly poor sound quality on the links. Great tunes though!

This is the penultimate Loving Room Floor Radio Show on 2XM and its a proper old school Irish Punk/Rock Show.
