Jazz! You know you like it. And we know we like to support it, so this Sunday we welcome back The Dumbshow, and are happy to present the Lazybird debut of Dorothy Murphy...

THE DUMBSHOW is Michael Harding (drums), Shane Latimer (electric guitar) and Sean Og (sax/clarinet). They've been a going concern for a couple of years now, playing improv jazz all around Ireland. They compose a good chunk of their music themselves, but are just as capable of revisiting old standards in their own unique way.

DOROTHY MURPHY is one of Ireland's leading improv vocalists. We're not talking Ella Fitzgerald-style scat, but more Betty Carter/Linda Sharrock-inspired pyrotechnics.

Dorothy will be performing in a duo with Sean, and will join the rest of the Dumbshow guys for a quartet jam as well. If you'd like a bit more info and some examples of what they'll be up to, check these out:

So if this sounds up your Street, then come along to ours (Wicklow). Doors at 9ish, and only a fiver in.

Tune in, turn up, drone in.
