hey there hasn't been much mention of the cork by south west festival this weekend here. you can get more info at www.corkxsw.com

i was asked to help run/programme the 4th space, so here is what we came up with...

The spiegelshed,

The fourth “chill out” space.

Next to De Barra’s Sitting Room Stage

ALL DAY EVENTS

1) Massages – will be available up till 6pm.

2) Health Shots – Milk thistle to protect the liver for the day and ginseng for a bit of pep!

3) A Drive Around Ireland – an installation piece of a 24-hour drive around Ireland, shown inside a full size car made out of wood.

4) Giant Tape Player – best described as “A Giant Tape Player”, it will be ‘hidden’ around the site. Go to www.myspace.com/gianttapeplayer for an idea.

5) Sensible Soccer Tournament – There will be a Sensible Soccer emulator plugged into a TV, where people of a certain age will be able to be all nostalgic for the world greatest soccer computer game. And then younger people who never heard of it will be all confused by it, like the two kids in the café in Back To The Future 2.

Dead Cool: Irish Artists (a Disk Jockey set of great recordings by Irish people who are now dead; anything from Sean O'Riada to Noel Brazil to Phil Lynott to Mic Christopher)
