i have a recipe at home for smoked fish with butter beans if i think of it later i'll post it, its very tasty.

my mam used to make a similar thing but added peas and carrots too. Love smoked fish mmmm

this is delicious...

get a bunch of stir-fry veg, yr standard pre-prepped packs are real handy.

fry it up... around 2 mins from the end, add chunks of smoked haddock (or mackerel, kippers, etc)...

drizzle some soy sauce on, not too much.

will make yr head sing.

made this tonight

two smoked fillets in a large saucepan.
added 150 ml of milk.
brought to near boil, then simmered for 12 minutes.

took off fish and put on a plate.

added two heaped table spoons of creme fraiche and turned up heat for 2 - 3 minutes to allow sauce to thicken.
Then added 10g of butter - stirred vigorously while throwing back in the fish.

threw in some chopped chives and simmered for another minute.

served with baked potatoes and peas.

In supermarket asked where chives were and the guy brought me to the shelf and pointed to the cloves.

Would have tasted quite differently if I took his advice.
