skubol distro - new arrivals (3 Viewers)

Guyana Punchline is pretty much essential!!
Not sure where Angel hair and Heroin come into it, don't think they do though.

I'm sorry, Eamonn have you sustained Brain Damage of some kind?
That Angel Hair 12" is THE Screamo record.Harsh, threatening, none of this jangly bullshit the likes of Raein and them go on with. It's just a really fucking good punk/hardcore record full stop, subgenres aside.

The whole screamo name/label crosses so many boundaries.Loads of crap mixed in there, although i loved JR Ewings album
'Calling in dead' when it came out.
City of catapillar turned me off anything withthe screamo label plastered across it.

fffuuccckk, that sucks about Funeral Diner. Still though:

You can check out the following bands that have sprung forth from the ashes of Funeral Diner.

HIS HERO IS GONE - fifteen covnts of arson lp 9€
absolute classic!!!

DAMAD - rise and fall lp 9€
Pounding metallic punk assault, shifting gears between total stop, overdriven hardcore lurch and churning dynamic heaviness. A hybrid trespassing boundaries of punk, metal and rock, yet lyrically remaining punk-rock. Nine song brutal first LP from the Savannah , Georgia Heavy Weights who have gone to Play in KARST and KYLESA.

TALK IS POISON - condensed humanity lp 9€
Leading the charge of bay area hardcore bands in the mid-late '90s, Talk Is Poison belted out ferocious punk rock with a thunderous rhythm section, howled vocals, and a dual guitar attack. This collection compiles all of the band's recorded material, including the "Straight To Hell" 7", the split with Deathreat and the "Control" 7". Members went on to play key roles in Dead And Gone, Look Back And Laugh, Suicide Party, Year Future and more.

SIGNAL LOST - Prosthetic Screams lp 10€
Signal Lost went from good to great to AMAZING and this album shows a matured band with their own sound. Ashley's vocals are fantastic, the guitar playing is unique and the whole approach feels very urgent and personal. GET IT!

BORN AGAINST - Battle Hymns Of The Race War LP 9€
Originally released in 1993 by Vermiform Records as BORN AGAINST's abbreviated second LP on 10", Prank Records' extreme disdain of the 10" format dictates that this record be re-mastered and released as a 45 RPM 12".

BALBOA / ROSETTA - project mercury 2xlp 16€
GATEFOLD 2LP ON GOLD VINYL. This is exactly how a split record should happen. Two bands that are long time friends, tour mates, practice space splitters, and so forth. While these two bands might seem radically different on the surface, if you give yourself the chance to look past the veneer you will find two bands that have had subtle but important influences on each other. The first five tracks allow each band to present their version of musical reality. The sixth and final song finds the two bands collaborating on a dense and epic track from which the entire record/project takes its name.

inepsy_nospeed.jpg

INEPSY - no speed limit lp 9€
Anticipated 3rd LP/CD by these canadian road warriors. They came out of nowhere with a fresh sound, stuck to it for their second LP, and turned up the filthy rock influences on this third one. More TANK, more KISS, less D-beat. Still the same old band though. Great production as usual, characteristic artwork, and a solid release.

This is a reissue of the 83' HC Classic. Totally Snotty, In your face Hardcore/punk from the early days. All twelve songs will have you wanted to rip your face off and run through your parents walls. A great lp from a great time in hardcore punk. Lump these guys in with bands like Urban Waste, DRI, and MDC. Reagan HC

JUSTICE - escapades lp 10€ (white vinyl)
For their second full length album, "Escapades", JUSTICE and REFLECTIONS decided to team up to make sure that the band's unique sound and message gets out to everyone who wants to hear it. "Escapades" is a record that deserves to be heard. It's genuine, honest and strong and the band's most daring and challenging record to date. A relief in these days of pre-packaged angst and anger. A breath of fresh air among the so many bands that just go through the motions. JUSTICE have gone all the way, both musically and lyrically, to give us 110 percent. Nothing less. They've put their hearts on display and have dug deeper than ever to write the best bunch of songs they possibly could. JUSTICE has become a household name to hardcore/punk kids worldwide and they have accomplished that by doing what they do best: writing catchy, honest and meaningful songs and backing it all up with an insane work ethic.

YOUTH OF TODAY - break down the walls lp 10€
Pissed-off hardcore with a positive message. Pioneers of modern hardcore. They made straight-edge more than just a song.

rev062.jpg

YOUTH OF TODAY - cant close my eyes lp 10€
The Youth Of Today "Can't Close My Eyes" 7" was originally released by Positive Force Records, the now-defunct label ran by 7 Seconds frontman Kevin Seconds, in 1985. It was later reissued as a split label 12" by Caroline/Schism Records in 1988. And now it's available on Revelation Records, completely remastered with new artwork and photos. Features the "Can't Close My Eyes" 7" in it's entirety, the extra track from the Caroline/Schism Records 12", as well as 5 rare songs from the V/A "Connecticut Fun" LP originally released on Incas Records in 1985. Crucial!

chain.jpg

CHAIN OF STRENGTH - the one thing that still holds true lp 10€
classic straight edge
band from Southern California. During the hardcore years of the late eighties, Chain of Strength showcased its straight power with this album. They did several passes through the states and did shows with bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Sick of it All, Youth of Today, Bold, Soulside, Social Distortion, and the Cro Mags. This amazing release also includes the 7" release "True Till Death" from Revelation and the self released 7" "What Holds Us Apart" plus an unreleased track. Chain of Strength brings you hardcore straight edge in the purest form. Most of you already know, others are still learning.

GORILLA BISCUITS - start today lp 10€
Over the years, few records have earned the distinction of "classic." Within the punk and hardcore realm, even fewer have made an impact on the way an entire genre sounds. At the top of that small list, however, is Gorilla Biscuits' "Start Today." Hailing from NYC, Gorilla Biscuits carved a niche within the NY Hardcore scene. Blending the aggression and energy of bands like Agnostic Front with a sense of melody likened to the Descendents and Dag Nasty, Gorilla Biscuits still stands as a unique reference point for every hardcore band that has come after them. This is an essential part of any record collection.

titan_rwp026.jpg

TITAN - "The Chrysanthemum Pledge" LP 9€
heavy destructive hardcore with influences from URANUS, BURIED INSIDE, or JUNE PAIK!
http://www.myspace.com/titanslays

TOWERS - st lp 8€ (green vinyl)
Finally! The debut album from Philadelphia's TOWERS is a mid paced abrasive psychedelic nightmare as demonstrated through sonic fury. While one could claim that they draw influences from band names like GASP, DEADGUY, PG.99 and OLD MAN GLOOM / older ISIS, the band's real influences come from themselves and a DIY punk-as-fuck mindset in general. They strive to write songs, put out records, go on tours, and repeat a seemingly never ending cycle. This is the true influence on the existence of the band... and these guys are doing it better than almost any others out there! Highly recommended.

DANSE MACABRE - synkopenleben, nein danke lp 9€
A huge step for this guys in comparison to the earlier stuff! great layout and production and well written songs. DANSE MACABRE deliver screamy chaotic hardcore with a lot of power and moody parts, it reminds me of some bands in this genre which have been around a couple of years ago, but they still manage to create something own.
