Screen FUBAR! (1 Viewer)

Anyone seen this before? been doing it all day today, a slow fade from normal to this (which looks a bit like the 'beaming up' effect in Star Trek TNG...). Sometimes it rights itself, sometimes I have to adjust the screen to fix it; screen totally freezes when it happens too.



It's a HP Pavillion laptop, only about a year old. Gonna have to take it down to PC World and see if the £12.99 I pay per month for repair/insurance is worth anything.

Yeah, I've seen that a fair bit. It's generally just a loose connector in the back of the LCD. You could take apart the lid and make sure everything's nice and tight, but if you're paying for repair/insurance, you may as well get someone else to do it for you.

Cheers, I had a laptop die completely last year due to a bust screen. /took them 3 months of ordering replacement screens and messing about to decide it was unfixable. Hopefully this works out better.
