thats the live aids benefit from '88 is it not?

new album is out the 10th of october...
and theyre supporting the pogues this xmas.

new album is pretty good. not as punk and rough edge as they used to be but the songwriting is still there.

It is indeed,was really surprised to find it.
After seeing them that time in Vicar street I wouldn't have high hopes for a new record. It'll most likely be cd only too? I can't imagine the horror of being at a pogues gig,especially at christmas. Still,the old records are amazing.

they aint played vicah st before...
yeah tv tube heart and ghost town are great.
just asked there.. no initial plans for vinyl.. theres talk of a big label releasing it in the u.s and it might go vinyl then. but i reckon its unlikely.

i can sort you out with a midnitedemos 7" with tv screen, psychotic reacion, mistreater and the hunchback if you like.
can also get the '77 live album.

new riders of the purple sage - who are those guys? (bought on a whim - cool name, cool cover; middling greatful dead related country rock...)

it's alright
i got deep purple and canned heat there
it's borderline stock out on the cheap
best record i got there was paul revere and the raiders for a fiver (everything is down to 2 now)
some yes records too.

there's not much out at any time so it only takes a minute to go through em, unless some mongo is just standing there motionless in front of you

Ty Tabor - Rock Garden (terrible title). Great stuff, an "old" dude who can get away with tuned way down very heavy riffs, why? because he fucking invented it!

Phoenix - Never hear the end of this. After 3 listens .. amazing just brilliant.

Ani Difranco - repreive. Nicely produced, quiet ani. I didn't need to read it online that she's pregnant.. it's all over this album.

Yea lyrically. It's quite mushy, songs about falling in love with some dude and how she is entering a mysterious new phase in her life and how women hold the power of life etc. I'm paraphrasing of course.

It's a good album, probably better than the last one.
