Rory (born in London) is a British folk singer/songwriter. He is well known around Donegal and has even wrote a song called 'Back to Donegal'. His father is of Scottish origin.
Rory is a musical Gypsy, his eccentric melodies are infused with influences from Flamenco to blues, through to Celtic, East European and Calypso rhythms creating a style of music and songwriting that has been described as "Intimate, revealing, political and powerful."
As well as singing, his performances include storytelling in the tradition of traveling minstrel or troubadour, and playing a wide range of instruments including guitar, harmonica, trombone, and his own invention the "stomping box'.
He is truely a 'singular and liberating performer'.
