REBELLIOUS JUKEBOX FRIDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER


Rebellious Jukebox is Back on Friday 19th September downstairs in Sister Sara’s, Port Road in Letterkenny. This is going to be Drumacanoo Punx Picnic’s unofficial reunion as bands from Letterkenny, Sligo and Enniskillen come together again to offer a night of rock n roll and mayhem. Psychedelic rockers Dr Bloodmoney gained a huge fanbase after their amazing performance at the picnic. Excuses (featuring Jasper one of the main organisers of festival) also hail from Sligo and are rip roaring hard core punk rock. Mommas Slippers are the Enniskillen representatives from the Erne Music Collective. This band are incredible. Youthful, energetic and planning to take over the world. Letterkenny as usual will shine on the night with Razor Sharp Bananas – Letterkenny’s Local Super Group!!!! Also there will be a Rock n Roll, 60’s Garage, Ska, Punk Dj Set courtesy of Rebellious Jukebox into the wee hours of the night. Doors are at 9pm and for four bands and a dj the price is a paltry 6 Euros. You’d be mad in the head to miss it.....

DR BLOODMONEY
Formed in 2007 somewhere in the wild west of Ireland, Dr. Bloodmoney’s music is hard to define but easy to enjoy. Each member of the group coming from various musical backgrounds that span rock, punk, psychedelic, and even dance music. These blend together to provide a unique and highly original sound. Great melodies, weird drones, mind bending guitars, pumping bass and hard hitting rhythms. If you had to compare this bands sound to anyone, you could start with Sonic Youth, Velvet Underground or early Beefheart , but even that just tells half the story. Mainly, they just sound like Dr . Bloodmoney . Their live shows are becoming the most talked about in the North West . They first live show caused quite a stir by reclaiming the streets at the Rory Gallagher Festival , Ballyshannon '07. alongside Unsuspecting Public , they set up and played unofficial gigs on the street , much to the amazement of passersby . Torrential rain , exploding amps and irate gardai were not enough to stop them , they played three days in a row . Rory would have loved it . Some of you have become avid fans since seeing them play a blinder of a set at this years’ DRUMACANOO PUNX PICNIC. This band is not to be missed!!!

EXCUSES
Sligo based thrash punk band EXCUSES are set to alight the proceedings with their own full on, high energy roaring punk rock. Excuses are Jasper on Vocals, Paul 13 on Guitar. Ambrose the destroyer on Bass and Buddy Crumble on Drums. They describe themselves as sounding like punk rock, fast n loud and bit sick in the head!
Hard core, intense, speed-along voracious noise - get ready to pogo!!

MOMMAS SLIPPERS
Momma's Slippers are a five piece punk band from Enniskillen. They started out in March 06 and a year and a half later they have enjoyed the success of their first demo entitled "Punk Chaos" and playing in the Waterfront Hall. With a selection of their own material the band also enjoy playing covers of their favourite bands such as The Ramones, Rancid, The Sex Pistols and many more. They also include Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Led Zeppelin, The Misfits, Queen and Thin Lizzy as influences. The band has no intentions of stopping and is attempting to take over the world one song at a time.

MONSTER HALLOWEEN BALL
REBELLIOUS JUKEBOX will be hosting a MONSTER HALLOWEEN BALL upstairs in The Orchard Inn, High Road, Letterkenny on Friday 31st October. More details to follow but confirmed are INNER TERRESTRIALS a Ska/Dub band from London plus support to be announced. The Inner Terrestrials have been together since 1994 mixing hardcore punk, dub, ska and more creating a powerful and eclectic sound. Formed in south-east London the band have gigged and toured extensively playing venues, festivals, squat parties/centres, demo's and protest sites all over the UK and Europe- France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland, Czech, Switzerland, Austria, Spain... Founder members J (vocals & guitars) and Fran (bass & vocals) teamed up with drummer Paco of Conflict in 1996 and haven't looked back since.
