I have a batch of songs recorded but, some of the masters are peaking slightly because of drum machines. Is this an issue or should I be worried about this?

I do plan on getting them mastered but I need to mix them to the correct levels I'd imagine. I am just not too sure what frequencies to stay away from etc.

Should all my songs masters/tracks level off at the -6 level? I basically want some consistency with all the songs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mastering is about getting the consistency.
You don't need to get your songs to similar levels before then.
