Re-occuring imagined cities in dreams!?! (1 Viewer)

Okay I know its a bit of an unusual thread but has anyone ever had this experience. Basically in my dreams there are two places that constantly re-appear one being a city and one a village. At this stage the city has appeared so many times in my dreams that I could at this stage probably draw a small map of it (I have even frequented the same record store in it several times, where I buy deadly records and then I awake!). The closest city Ive been to that looks like this one is Perigeaux in France, but I only went there after these dreams began. The city is on a hill with loads of red brick and sandstone couloured houses.

The other is a village that constantly seems to crop up even more than the city, the village is definitely in Ireland, and from my understanding of my dreams it seems to be somewhere in either south dublin/bordering kildare and/or wicklow. This village is even more vivid than the city.

I know its a weird topic for a thread but these places literally repeat at least once or twice a week for the past two years or so anyone else had this before.

There's a cinema that appears in my dreams quite a bit. Hasn't shown up for a year or two now thought I don't think

i have recurring dreams, not very often, of haunted houses and spooky forests.

I've had a couple of re-occuring fictional locations in my dreams too, very everyday urban stuff too (except the OTT cavernous, maze-like underground station I regularly need to take between other dream locations)

I find it pretty fascinating - wonder if they are snippets of some alternate reality I could have ended up in had different decisions been taken etc.

had an odd one last night; went down to the gasworks by my prents house and there was tv facing up from the ground showing porn. then that fisherman from shell to sea came along and we played hurling for a bit.

Once when I was a child I went to bed thinking about being part of a wealthy family in Victorian times with luxurous toys and clothes and a big house, then I ended up dreaming about it; this would then recur regularly whether I thought about it prior to sleep or not. Perhaps they're just desirable places to you in your subconscious?

I haven't dreamt for ages but the past two nights have been quite vivid. Last night I dreamt I bought £1000 worth of coke (which was still only in a small drugs bag) some pills that looked like very small circular confetti and some weed. I don't really buy/take drugs anymore. I gave lots away, got fuct and left the coke at my old house, went back to get it and the house was burning down, as was another house where I used to live. My friend reckons it was an anxiety dream but it didn't seem that stressful despite the occurences.

I had a dream that a friend was waking me up on the couch, pointing out that a man was outside the house waiting with a horse and cart. It turns out this man was my uncle and girlfirend and owned shares in disney, which he/she was trying to barter in exchange for pepsi can tokens. The bedroom then turned into a train that brought me to work in a setting much like the prison from Papillion.

I've had recurring dreams of imagined cities and villages too, but not for a few years. Now the recurring dreams have shifted to old places of work, except greatly exaggerated and filled with concentrated nostalgiaesque bliss.
