This Saturday, from 5pm 'til late in Seomra Spraoi, Dublin.
It's going to be brilliant, deadly band, yummy food, amazing people and a
great magazine. Read on...

RAG magazine – Dublin’s new anarcha feminist publication

A fabulous, fun-filled launch party will take place on Saturday the 7th of
October at Seomra Spraoi, No.6 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1. Doors open at 5pm, food will be served at 6pm, the band Party Weirdo will play at 9pm
followed by DJs afterwards. Entrance is a measly €5 on the door which will
include a shiny new magazine for your mitts, a plate of food for your belly
and stencilling stuff to allow you to jazz up your t-shirt/bag/hoodie with a
kick-ass feminist image. Launch will be child-friendly until 9pm….

RAG is a collective of anarcha-feminists in Dublin who have been meeting for
the past year and a half. We have worked together on various projects -
while steadily plodding away towards this goal: Issue 1 of the RAG magazine!
The magazine contains interesting and inspiring articles on a wide range of
subjects including: why do anarchists go to school, feminist health, child
birth, women in the libertarian movement in Dublin, sexual violence, book
reviews, women in film, personal accounts of sexual assault and immigration
and many other topics both serious and more light-hearted.

All are very welcome, drop in at any stage over the evening, feel free to
bring along music to play. It’s going to be brilliant.

The magazine will be available in distros and friendly book shops in Dublin
and across Ireland soon but get it first, come to the launch.

Any more information contact [email protected] or see
http://www.ragdublin.org, a map to the venue can be found here.
For details on the venue see:

PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL INTERESTED

Just to remind you all for tomorrow, don't forget to bring along a t-shirt or bag or something to put some very snazzy stencils on.

The zine is excellent... And the night was good too, it was great to be in an illegal drinking shebeen and knowing the beer profits were going towards the rent and not.... eh to some scumbag landlord... wait a minute!

congrats ladies! can this be purchased in anthology? or does it say so up the thread? Bit hungover.

Thanks so much to all of the deadly crowd that came along. Everyone had lots of fun. The excellent magazine is now available in Anthology Books (in Meeting House Sq) and Books Upstairs (across from Trinity). Hopefully will be in more places in Dublin and around Ireland when we get a chance.

Actually if any of you know of nice shops - book shops, record shops, health shops etc. that might be even slightly friendly and interested in taking it please let us know here or email us:

Any of ye women who want to get involved, you are all very welcome just drop us a line.

This is just the beginning.

there's a launch for RAG in the Cork Autonomous Zone, tomorrow night around eight.
the CAZ is near the top of Barracks St in Cork , on the left.

nothing on the RAG website or anything, but this is top quality information from a high-sonar CAZ co-operative worker.
so ye can blame him if i'm wrong. :)
