This Saturday, from 5pm 'til late in Seomra Spraoi, Dublin.
It's going to be brilliant, deadly band, yummy food, amazing people and a
great magazine. Read on...

RAG magazine – Dublin’s new feminist publication

A fabulous, fun-filled launch party will take place on Saturday the 7th of
October at Seomra Spraoi, No.6 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1. Doors open at 5pm, food will be served at 6pm, the band Party Weirdo will play at 9pm
followed by DJs afterwards. Entrance is a measly €5 on the door which will
include a shiny new magazine for your mitts, a plate of food for your belly
and stencilling stuff to allow you to jazz up your t-shirt/bag/hoodie with a
kick-ass feminist image. Launch will be child-friendly until 9pm….

RAG is a collective of anarcha-feminists in Dublin who have been meeting for
the past year and a half. We have worked together on various projects -
while steadily plodding away towards this goal: Issue 1 of the RAG magazine!
The magazine contains interesting and inspiring articles on a wide range of
subjects including: why do anarchists go to school, feminist health, child
birth, women in the libertarian movement in Dublin, sexual violence, book
reviews, women in film, personal accounts of sexual assault and immigration
and many other topics both serious and more light-hearted.

All are very welcome, drop in at any stage over the evening, feel free to
bring along music to play. It’s going to be brilliant.

The magazine will be available in distros and friendly book shops in Dublin
and across Ireland soon but get it first, come to the launch.

excellent night- packed to capacity and more- the magazine is excellent reading..
congrats rag feminists.
much respect .|..|

dude tampons are shit. get your mot a mooncup.

wtf?!
anyone?

"my friend, tampons may expose a woman's cervix and vagina to dangerous bleaching chemicals and sheddings of fibrous material. perhaps consider obtaining for your significant other a reusable rubber device which can be inserted into her vagina to catch menses."
(mooncups available in boots to buy/lift. i found it dreadfully uncomfortable. there are other alternatives too but... blah de blah de bloop)

my superior female brain won't allow me to take tampon references seriously.
oops. i stooped.
I take it this is a monthly publication?
eh... no. this one took a year and a half. the next one should be out in 6 months. collective magazine birthing is a slow (and beautiful) process. or else we're lazy bastards - you decide!

going to pick up a copy of the mag soon as.

...soon as this half of the dublin distro division gets her ass back up to dublin to meet up with the other half.. i think we're going into anthology on thursday. thanks for your patience..

Thanks a million to everyone who came, yis are all deadly, it was an amazing night. :):)
what she said. after everything, it was one of the best nights of my life really. thanks to everyone. sniff.

(although i did wake up kindof embarrassed at my mini-nazi moment... if you dunno what it was, i'm not telling. give a girl a mike...)

The mag is now in anthology and books upstairs on college green..|..|

Sorry shineyface the demand was a bit pressing so we threw ten into each today. :)

(Mooncup discomfort might mean you just need to cut off some of the stem type thing.)

I'm really looking forward to reading this. congrats to everyone involved.
