I'm just wondering a little something about media audiences.
Take a random Irish television or radio programme.
JNLR surveys or Nielsen reports will give listenership or viewership figures alright but is there much information gathered on a qualitative basis. I know it's possible to link, say, newspaper readership to certain social class categories AB, C1 etc.
Does anyone know off-hand if the same is done for television or radio programmes, or indeed if deeper research is done. Not quite "what they eat for breakfast" but somewhere in that general direction.
