There has recently appeared a 'pro liberation' society in UCD and I believe there's one now in Trinners too. They say they have 140 members in UCD alone (totally untrue, they have about 5)and will be setting up branches in Galway and Cork.

They're having a pro war rally on Wednesday in Trinners or so they say. Maybe they're just kidding but here's the posting:

Counter Demonstration In Favour of War
by David Mertens - TCD Pro-War Movement Fri, Apr 4 2003, 2:30pm
Wednesday 9th April at 7.30pm The people have had enough. Enough of elements of the population protesting against the righteous action os the US led coalition. IT IS TIME TO MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD! We will be holding a counter demonstration to the Women's symphony this wednesday. The protest will not only be peaceful but will also remain within the law. Please Attend.

Could be worth going along just to see.
The one in UCD really does exist anyway, I've been in e-mail contact with them, if anyone wants to see the weird correspondence PM me coz it's pretty funny. Their reasons are the stupidist things ever.

just goes to show that an education doesn't mean people are clever or have common sense.

means justuifies an end...whats the end point?a new iraqi dictator, exploitation of their resources and an apathy among the distant.

who gives a shit anymore. dammit, i'm most disillusioned.
And cynically paranoid. if i say summit bout what should be done to sort it out, i could get interned as a terrorist!

Hmmmmmm..... haven't heard about any trinners pro-war society and its not listed on the societies webpage but a lot of new societies (like the anarchist society-yay!) aren't listed so that doesn't really mean anything...and this post is therefore pointless.
