I'm debating whether or not to head over to Las Vegas this month the visit Club 3121

was also discussing this last week. hmmm...

i'm not too fond of diamonds and pearls either..

it's actually pretty decent. has grown on me a lot. best of the npg stuff i say.

I have intened to make a compilation 1 disc version of that album...
Shorten some o dem extra long songs, but could'nt be arsed...

In fact, I'd like to do that with the majority of his 90's output...
There is no one BEST album of his from the 90's but by jaysus, there are some incredable individual songs.

I loooooove The Rainbow Children album, which was slated.

Diamonds and Pearls was "the straw that broke the camels back" for me back in d'early ninetees.

I think the Symbol album is fuckin awful, yet it contains Sweet Baby and Damn U

I genuinely don't think any of his albums are truly terrible - certainly not in the same way that, say, the Kasabian album is terrible
I reckon his quality only goes from average to genius.

he's total mayzin. the only thing that made me sad was that he started off usin a tele. i heard they're a bit limited in the sound the can produce.

As for that compilation, i've put all his 90's albums onto my shuffle and paying attention to how much i flick to the next song.

Critics allege he used his guitar as a phallic symbol

Several critics and bloggers who watched Prince's half-time performance at Sunday's Super Bowl are alleging that he intentionally used his guitar as an inappropriate phallic symbol.

Ever since an infamous 'wardrobe malfunction' exposed Janet Jackson's breast during her half-time performance with Justin Timberlake at the 2004 Super Bowl, the Federal Communications Commission has cracked down on broadcast decency, and the half-time show in particular has been under tremendous scrutiny.

Now, several people are alleging that the shadow cast by Prince and his guitar, which was projected onto a beige sheet during his performance of 'Purple Rain', had distinct phallic connotations.

It was "a rude-looking shadow show" that was "embarrassingly rude, crude and unfortunately placed," said Daily News television critic David Bianculli. Many bloggers agree, despite the fact that several entertainment critics have lauded Prince's performance as one of the best in Super Bowl history.
