1964 Ludwig
20" Kick
13" tom
16" floor
the snare there is a old pearl freefloater that used to belong to James from Pet Lamb, but its a bit fucked now.
Using a new Tama wood snare.
the bearing edges on the kit were redone about 6 years ago by Orange County Drum and Percussion to 45 degree angles, and it sounds fairly mighty for a 44 year old basher.

Hi Eric. I need to get the bearing edges redone on me snare. Any ideas?

Best specialised drum shop in Ireland, I think. Was in before Christmas and he mentioned that there was a good drum builder in the North. He's also the Irish distributor for OCDP. He's heading to Cali for NAMM soon, so I'd say he'll be able to help you out in some way.

Here's mine, which looks strangely similar....

Its not really though. Its a Modern Drum Shop custom built kit. 18" bass drum, 14" floor tom and 10" tomtom. I like them small. And a DW snare which you cant really see here.

24" kick,
13" rack,
16" floor.
14"x6.5" yellow vistalite snare (re-issue 2006)

Zildjian avedis 19" Rock Crash x 2,
20" Zildjian avedis Ping Ride,
14" Sabian Pro Sonix Hi Hats.
20" Zildjian avedis china boy high (not pictured)

Zildjians heaviest crash cymbal is the avedis rock crash. I had 18 & 19 inch for the last 4 yrs and then they broke at the start of the summer. I wanted 19" and 20" rock crashes this time round but they only go as far as 19". So i just bought two of em. One is slightly brighter than the other. But yeah its for super loudness. .|..|.|..|.|..|

Your floor tom is 60's. your kick and rack are 70's. whats up with that? do you you know the history of your kit? its nice indeed. Lovely snare. Original yellow vistalite snare is the rarest of rare ludwigs.
We use a mic in the kick for practices too because our rehearsal room is totally dead.

rawk. you know the biggest cause of cymbal breaking is having them too high...
