Posh Pedals (1 Viewer)

I reckon the J Mascis pedal is there for collectors to have, there's been a long running myth/legend that J had a unique muff (which is quite probable given EHX quality control) so for people who like to collect the J Mascis signature guitars/shoes etc now they have a muff clone to add to the collection. As far as sounding like him it's just never going to happen.

Personally I'm curious to see how long it takes the dudes at freestompboxes to get one reversed so we can see what the actual unique difference is.

PS if anyone is after a vintage Big Muff from any era either myself or I believe Jimmy Behan could make you one for a lot cheaper than 300 dollars, 80/90 euro from me anyways

I'd say more well known than simple but still pretty straightforward to get your head around. The cool thing with muffs is there's so many tweaking options so you can get your own taste and/or extra controls.

So it seems a certain collector of all thing Big Muff interviewed Mascis a while back and got the low down on this pedal. Seems its a rare enough Violet Ram's Head with #tone bypass and of course said collector has the schematic up onlline so if anyone fancies one feel free to get in touch and I'll put one together for you. Can't promise you'll sound like J though..
