haha. portlaoise is still confusing to me and i lived there for 18 years.
a portlaoise band played seomra spraoi a few weeks ago, and one of the metal-ish bands we played with in the lower deck a while ago had a few members of bands i've played gigs with around laois before.
plenty people there into semi-decent music, just real lazy.
i reckon it's still worth tryna crack somehow.
