playing an ipod through usb on hifi? (1 Viewer)

Cpr bought me an ipod for christmas and I wanna play it on my hi-fi. It has a usb connection thing on the front but when i plug it in the ipod says 'connected' blah blah blah like i've plugged it in to my computer.

Does anyone know if its possible to play it?

It's a simple lead that runs from yer ipod earphone socket into the back of yer hifi. 3 ero down Powerciteee for really shit ones, or slightly more in other shops. Easy.

connecting through a usb with ipods won't work unless it's specifically designed to work with an ipod. The closest you'd get would be opening up one of the music folders on the ipod hard-disk which would be a fairly random selection of the songs you've put on it.

The jack to hi-fi thing is definitely the best.
