Looking to get some new pickups for me Les Paul ripoff. It's a cheapo but nice, and i think new pickups would greatly improve it, but i know absolutely nothing about pickups. I want something that'll make it heavy when distorted, but still clear as i play lots of barre chords with bits added on and strange made up chords. Would like what's on this guitar as i really like his sound, but not sure what they are - think they're the same pickups slash uses.

Plenty to choose from here... Put summat rockin at the Bridge and summat light at the neck and you should get what your lookin for...

This is the problem. According to the "wizard", i need an SH-10 full shred in bridge and a SH-2 jazz model in the neck. €70 each isn't too bad.

You can pretty much cater most things to your own taste really...
S Duncan humbuckers are supposed to be the shit anyway... I got one and its deadly... Very crunchy when you push it...
Still, Sparce or Mark would know more than me

I'm not answering shit! As you said Ian it's all subjective. I only know what I want and when I did the comparisons on the Seymour Duncan page I went for the SSH-JB set, Seymours favorite set.
Although I am going to get the a set of seymour mini humbuckers soon.
