Piano Alternative advice (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm interested in learning how to play the piano. I have neither the money or the space for such a thing

Would any body be able to suggest a good keyboard that would be similar to a piano (ya know weighted keys and sustain and stuff like that).

Even any advice on what I should look for in a keyboard when shopping would be helpfull....I pretty much know nothing.

i got this - http://www.thomann.de/ie/thomann_dp40rw_c.htm - does not take up too much room, fully weighted keys, no substitute for the real thing but good for learning

eh dont really have much to compare it with tbh. i dont think id use it for recording but i think it would be decent enough for playing live (really heavy though so you probably wouldnt be doing that)

I'd love to play an electric piano live but seeing as it's just me you're probably right about it being impractical. I needs a road crew.

Pianos are'nt that difficult to come by. Most people just want rid of them, and dont charge provided you can arrange transport. Try www.jumbletown.ie, G-stereo passed it onto me. I'm still looking for one, and would have preferred a standard, as the'yre more resiliant than the new ones, plus i would'nt have a fucking clue how to fix an electric piano.

But that thomann looks nice. Are they reliable?
