Pedals schmedals.

They're great if thats yer bag.I occaisonally use a wah wah,but I'm usually too far away from it(I play a wanderin' style of geetar) to use it so I don't bother.Keep it for the studio.

Just gimme a hot lead and a bit of gain on the amp and I'm good to go.'spose you could say I'm a purist.

anyone who digs drony irish music would be familiar with this kinda thing. what i dont know is that in say the outro to 'today' by the pumpkins, he plays a ringing Eb to beef the sound out, which would be a pedal if it was the lowest note, but its not.

i'd consider using amp gain the same as using an effect pedal. i'd even consider using bass/mib/treble controls the same as using an eq pedal.

Eh, he was well pissed off about having to use a twin in Letterkenny. Then when he played dublin we had to get him a Bassman 100 and 2*15 cab iirc.
