The early learning centre is a gold mine for kids that age. Get her one of those books with all the different textures in it. My cousins kid has one (he is 1 and a half) and he loves it. Or some kinda noise making toy with flashy lighs.

Oh and aoifed, go to chapters on abbey st. and buy a pile of kids books, they have loads on special offer, you should be able to buy 5 or 6 books easily for €20.
