OOAL Night OFF: We’re really disappointed to say that we have had to cancel the OOAL night in Galway in May. We were really looking forward to having a real good time (again!) in the Roisin Dubh, but unfortunately exams, day jobs, other touring commitments, etc intervened and it just wasn’t feasible. Hopefully we can do it some other time….
NEW RELEASE: Happier news with the release of our first ever release on vinyl, a 7” split single featuring a track each our own giveamanakick and Donegal boyos Berkeley. The single is available at Road Records (Dublin), Plugd Records (Cork), Empire (Limerick), and online here.
GIVEAMANKICK NEWS
Gamak are still riding high on the crest of the gamak/berkeley split 7" wave. The Launch tour went exceedingly well, and more joint dates are to be expected in May.
Giveamanakick tracks appear on three compilations out at the moment:
"Bobby Dazzler" is on the current HMV Irish Playlist CD which comes free with selected new releases. "BD" will also be on the new Smalltown America title "Public Service Broadcast #8" out this month. "Sick From Motion" appears on the Sofa Records compilation "Music For Long Ears 2006".
