Oasis Reunion (1 Viewer)

This has to be a PR wind up. Hideous looking yokes

The parkas were sold at €35 a pop. After they sold out, they quickly appeared on Ebay.com, with some listed at roughly six times the original price. Prices ranged from £120 to £209.

I gave up following music press in Sept 1993 and from early 1994 to February 1997 I didn't watch TV or voluntarily listen to the radio.
The first time I heard Oiasis was on a bus when She's Electric came on the radio in summer 1996. I thought for all the hype they must be as good as Nirvana, so their watered down brand of indie had me scratching my head.
I also managed to avoid hearing Green Day for years until Hope you Have The Time of Your Life song.
The other one is The Cranberries - They were just getting popular in the US when I went underground and I am still trying to get my head around how popular they were 30 years ago.

I see they are opening the set with Hello from what's the story morning glory.

Can’t make money from songs performed live.

Hence why so many live cover versions were tagged on some albums

PRS and IMRO payout for live

from PRS:

We pay royalties for various kinds of live performance of our members' music, including tours, gigs, DJ sets, concerts and busking. These performances can be reported through the venues or by members, publishers and managers through our online live reporting service.

I was curious. This review sounds like a shit gig to me IMHO

Reads like a transition year pupil’s first ever concert experience report

Was just talking to a lad who has tickets for the Wembley gig. This guy is the full cockney package. Fred Perry polo, immaculate trainers (runners), flat cap. He has a connection so was able to get tickets.

"I fahckin hate them. The only reason I'm going is to wind up my mates. Because they don't have tickets, but they're shit. Gonna do a video chat with the lads of just my face looking miserable and annoyed for the whole show. Fahck oasis".

Apparently he did see them locally just before the big time, in the mid-90s. He has his geezer swagger. But he, like me, hated all that throwing shapes that all the assholes were doing back then.

It's a dedicated level of contempt that I can respect. He's putting himself through that just to make a point to his friends.

My lads showed me a video the other day of some lad with his camera on his face while he sang along with one of their songs at the gig . I must admit it was pretty funny. Not sure it was meant to be.
