GLOSSARY:-
- AMOEBAZOID : Guitarist Keith O'Brien's moody brew of hard-disk driven electronica, free improvisation and squalling rock.
- BAD LUNATIC : The new Simon O'Connor (Jimmy Cake) electronic project, utilising multiple CD players to create a soundscape of terrifying beauty.
- CHALETS, THE : Consisting of 2 boys, 2 Girls and a drummer, they have been causing a bit of a stir of late with their unique angle on pop.
- CHEQUERBOARD : Ambient electronica juxtaposing soundscapes which are by turns icily clinical and lushly romantic.
- FEAR BOARD OF DIRECTORS, THE :New project from acclaimed new Irish electronica label The Fear, featuring Deasy, Droid'n'Slug and Troubled Soul.
- KELLY, FERGUS : Solo percussion performance which creates "a concrete symphony which never leaves the audience less than unsettled." [- The Irish Times]
- FORMIKA : Ambient electronica which creates "breathtakingly beautiful canvas of lush, deep drones and captivating melodies." [- Hot Press]
- HARDSLEEPER : Acclaimed minimalist electronica from Peter Maybury, "dark electronica that straddles a nebulous boundary between minimalist techno and American lo-fi." [- Irish Times]
- DAEMIEN FROST : "Short on choruses, big on cacophony, short on structures, big on improvisation, the closest it comes to pop is being about twelve places behind Destiny's Child in the CD racks." [- Event Guide]
- LACEY TRIO, DAVID : Flaming free jazz from fearsome forces of nature drummer David Lacey (Decal) and saxophonist Cathal Roche, ably aided by Keith O'Brien (Amoebazoid) on electronics.
- NANOLOOPERS : Improvised gameboy sequencer madness from Ritchie Egan (The Redneck Manifesto) and Herv!
- HYNES, NINA : Acclaimed Dublin singer-songwriter, "mixing pure pop, electronica and downbeat introspection into a single diverse, multi-layered yet coherent whole." [- Event Guide]
- NORTHSTATION : A new project by Steve Fanagan, who "plays with shady dave pajo guitar trips, broadcast samples, distorted vocals and cackling, wired-up sound contraptions, creating a warm graceful murmur." [- D'Side]
- NOTHING : "Pretentious Crap" [- The Slate]
- PKD : Experimental group whose simplicity and deconstruction of the cell-like nature of rock music incite the ever stimulating craziness that accompanies their performances...
- RATS OF THE SHINING PATH : Country'n'western grunge from the ashes of Chicks, "strange twisted country, heartbreaks for wrecks and dark clouds for redemption." [- bpfallon.com]
- SAFE : Safe specialise in creating organic sound pieces taken exclusively from field recordings.
- SOMADRONE : Ambient Electronica from Neil of the Connect Four Orchestra, "twisting and teasing deliciously weird sounds into thrilling shapes". [- HotPress]
- TYCHO BRAHE, THE : Engrossing, beguiling and blissful drone-pop from Donal & Carol (Plague Monkeys) and Dee Dermody(Jimmy Cake).
