Right - I've given this a couple of weeks.
This is one really boring album. Reminds me of the crap end of early nineties ambient with a nod to UK garage and annoying vocals - Like Enigma with Craig David singing.
Raver is pretty good but hardly mindblowing.
Considering that I loved the first album - this is a huge disappointment.

i put it on when i was cooking the other night. i only realised nothing had registered until the next lot of music kicked in.

i think Mac Koall came on next..

burial has me listening to Pole again too.

The track "Versus" on "Mary Anne Hobbs Warrior Dubz" is the best thing that he has done. Still, i like the new album.

Some of the vocals just don't work - more mc style than vocalist if you know what I mean. In saying that I really like about half the vocal cd - the Yolanda tracks are good.
The instrumental cd is good but gets a bit boring - kinda like it really needed the vocals to work.
Musically I like it a lot but overall it's a bit of a failed experiment.

I reckon if you compiled 1 cd of the vocal tracks you like and stuck the instrumental versions of the vocal tracks you don't like it'd be a really good album.

some of the vocals are too comic for me..

i like the gangstaz instrumental.
