Hi folks.
Just a brief note to let you know that copies of the new Herv album "Customer" (GOAWAY006) and the new The Last Sound album "1MEyes" (GOAWAY003) are now available for purchase from the lovely folks at Road Records and the classy guys at City Discs for 10 Euro each. Limited copies are available to begin with so hurry hurry! We will be stocking other stores in Ireland and abroad in the coming weeks. Audio samples are available from these and all our releases at www.goawayrecordings.com.
Heres some blurb about the artists.
The Last Sound:
Barry Murphy has been producing electronic music of one form or another since the early 90’s and under the name of The Last Sound since 1997. Influenced by progressive rock as much as electronics, The Last Sound's music is a thick blanket of computer generated granular ooze, tumbling percussion and jarring errorscapes. The highly praised album B'locks appeared in 2002 on Warp-approved Dublin label Front End Synthetics, and a collection of material from 1997-2001 called Skids was released in 2004. His music has also appeared on several compilations and he plays live with alarming regularity, including past supports to Damo Suzuki, EAR, Scorn, Lackluster and Ambulance.

Herv:
Ewan Hennelly, aka Herv, has become one of Ireland's best-known electronic musicians over the past number of years, amassing a considerable catalogue of releases on labels both at home and abroad.
Herv’s music is a frantic swarm of 8-bit melody and syncopated percussion, punctuated by warm wind instrument and layered violin and cello lines. Live, Herv works solely with a laptop, and Nintendo Gameboy running custom software, and while much of his recorded output concerns itself with complex melodic and percussive interplay, his live sets lean more towards the harder end of the electronic spectrum, mixing chaotic chip tunes alongside breakcore and gabba. In the past, Herv has played with artists such as Venetian Snares, Shitmat, Jason Forrest, Duran Duran Duran, Dev/Null, Xanopticon, Hrvatski, Chevron, Aaron Spectre, Dj Scotch Egg, Ove-naxx, Doddodo, and Max Tundra, . ”Customer” is his third full length album.
