I got about half-way through it and had to leave it for something else. From the half I listened to it seems a little bit all over the place for a Cass McCombs record. His other albums all have a pretty consistent sound. This one not so much.that's been sitting on my desk for two weeks

so far i'm finding it hard to take seriously, it's so very, very precious.
For those who haven't yet seen the film — which doesn't start rolling out until December — it won't be abundantly clear how a silly novelty song like "Please Mr. Kennedy" (performed by Isaac, Adam Driver and Justin Timberlake) might fit alongside the traditional Irish ballad "The Auld Triangle" (in which Timberlake is joined by Marcus Mumford and members of Punch Brothers).
