Pete said it was just the psu and that itll be easy peasy to sort out.

Would it be ok to take the psu out of another pc and try it out to check if thats all thats wrong or might i wreck that too?

Just look at the specs on the two of them.If the voltage and amplitude are the same you're good to go.

If they arent...you're not!

Could a USB flash drive blow out a USB port? I got a new little USB key but it has been randomly rebooting pcs by just touching it to the port, but I noticed after two unplanned reboots last night that the port isn't keen on recognizing anything I plug in to it now. I seem to be down to three functioning usb ports out of 8.
