Listening to Neil Young Unplugged. It's probably my favourite. Maybe Nirvana too. But what the hell ever happened to this series? It was great.

for whatever reason this made me go read Layne Staley's wikipedia entry. fucking depressing.
although the pearl jam one could've been much better had they waited for an album or two / used their own gear / McCready not attempted to replicate his electric solos on some banger of an acoustic.

yup. this quote in particular nearly made me shed a bastard tear:ya big time. he wrote great songs. the junk was always gonna kill him. he pretty much had his heart set on it.
