if there is thing on your card that looks like a wifi symbol then you can do this. first few times are creepy.

My card doesn't have it, it's too old so I wouldn't know, I imagine when it's renewed next year it will though.

You can use them instead of an Oyster Card for public transport in London, which sounds like a good idea to be honest.

For small transactions (up to €15 I think) newer cards/card readers don't require the card to be inserted into the reader (or for a pin to be entered I think) you just swipe the card by the reader, like a dongle for an apartment building/gym etc.

I did this for the first time the other day. yer one said "just tap it against the machine" and I was all like "tap it?"

I really wish I'd have gone to the doctor when I first got sick.
What a stupid man I am.
Thankfully I did eventually and now my skin is perfect and I sleep through the night..but I still have a perforated ear that only time and not blowing my snozz can heal..

And the whole thing started with an ear infection I ignored

I cant hear anything out my right side at the min..and if I clear my ears so I can hear right..it'll be killing me in the morning and I'll have to start again.

I'd rather a bad ear than an itchy skin infection though.Any day of the week.

Yeah, I generally avoid the doctor unless it's some kind of emergency.

Hassle getting time off work and don't want him/her asking about other stuff.

Depending on the machine a transaction can take anything up to 30 seconds, longer than it takes to do a coin/cash transaction. The contactless ones really speed things up in a busy coffee shop.
