Used to listen to this a LOT back when it came out. But haven't heard it years and years. I located it online today and an basking in it's glory again. Now I know that Chris Goss influenced and is invilved in Queens of the stone age but hearing this again I'm agog at how much alike it is.

btw, anyone heard the new qotsa? one quick listen, sounds good.

dudley said at the weekend that the new qotsa is shit. But he hates anything that Rob Crowe isn't involved with, so it's not the most balanced of reviews.

New Qotsa is great.Masters of Reality I always found hit and miss.
Welcome to the Western Lodge is good and Sunrise on the Sufferbus is a bit ropey.Havent't heard The Blue Garden.

After a few listens I probably hear more of the first QOTSA album in the new one than any of the others since. It'll probably get slated the most of any of them, especially by people who say they were better with Nick Oliveri and the first record was the best.
I think the new one is great, but it's too early to rate against the others.
