Pity that from a really long double album they chose one of the weakest songs and the only one to have a dumb drum loop. Sure, you can't have it all.

British Rock group Marillion have come back with their new single You're Gone - almost 20 years after they first topped the charts with songs Kayleigh and Lavender.

Now they are back at number seven.

The single's success follows a sustained internet campaign, with Marillion singer Steve Hogarth urging fans via the band's website to buy at least three copies of the single to get it into the top 10.

Steve’s advice to new bands is pretty straightforward: "Instead of gigging round toilets for ten years trying to get a record deal, gig around toilets for ten years and ask people for their email addresses. If what you’re doing strikes a chord, you’ll be financially better off while remaining pure and free to do what you want."
