Oh fine and feathered ones,

Greetings from the Churchmausorganiste. The Lazybird is pleased as punch to present the following attractions for your entertainment in the next fortnight:

Sunday 23rd September - ESTEL

Expect a big, lush club sandwich of poptones and feedback and some all-new tunes as the engaging and buzzful Estel flaunt their loveliness in a big live way.

Sunday 30th September - MINGFORYANG

Dublin duo Paul Roy and Aidan Cassidy stoke up some warm electro-analogue vibrations with some delicate space guitar thrown in. Reminiscent of Spacemen 3 meets "Man Machine"-era Kraftwerk.

We're looking forward to these lots...
All live events are being recorded for posterity - tasty nibbles of which will appear on a compilation CD at a time chosen to coincide with our first birthday bash in late November.

Both of the afore-mentioned delights will be ably assisted by resident and guest DJ's playing nearly every record that you've ever loved or will love to love...

Upstairs in the International from 7.30 onwards, bands scheduled to begin at 9. Admission is £3.

Cheerio,

Das Churchmausorganiste.

When will the organisers of Lazybird take a firm and shitty stick to the problem of ignorant punters rabbitting on while the musicians are trying to play?

When oh when?

When they start giving out shitty sticks in public I suppose...very hard thing to do - when we announce stuff, people stay shtum for a while and then start talking , but the improv stuff does ramble quite a bit so it's totally understandable and unsurprising when people start chatting. Knockout drugs and dodgy pints are the answer I reckon.
