Late 1970's Watkins Electric Music Dominator 50 Amplifier Head Unit in Great Condition.
WEMs main business back in the day was making PAs, but they cranked out some mean instrument amps too. Dave Gilmore used to use 'em and he still uses Watkins cabs. This head has 2 channels, one voiced for guitar and one voiced for other instruments (I've used this amp for guitar and bass).
It's a loud 50 watts, and it stays clean. Theres no master volume so if you are looking for valve overdrive at a managable volume, that aint the amp for you.
It has 2 EL34s at the power stage, not sure what kind of preamp valves are in there, but it sounds sweet. Martin Nolan re-tubed it late last year.
Looking for €300. I'll take offers but I won't be straying far from the asking price.
NOTE! the head in the pics in not my head, I've had the power supply at the back changed to a standard one, and the knobs on the instrument channel are a bit beat up, but otherwise its in the same condition as the one shown.
In Dublin.
Thanks!
