KUSH invites you to come and celebrate the launch of Dublin’s newest electronic music night in the city’s newest venue. The Grand Social (formally Pravda) has been newly renovated to include a 250 capacity venue with a quality sound system and a large smoking area. KUSH nights, held once a month, will feature live sets from both the up-and-coming whiz kids and the veteran heavyweights of Ireland’s underground music scene.
The KUSH launch, on Thursday 21st of October, sports a thrilling line-up including Maschine, T-woc and Melodica Deathship who are all celebrating recent or forthcoming releases.

A long awaited live set from Maschine will open the night. Maschine (Eoin Coughlan) has been on hiatus for the last couple of years and KUSH is very excited to present his first ever solo show. Maschine is strongly influenced by the likes of Autechre, Aphex Twin and Squarepusher along with electro, breaks, jungle and dub music. While Maschine’s own music gives an inkling of these influences, it remains original, inventive and inspiring. Don’t miss this!!

Next up, T-woc takes over the stage with a live set sure to blow your socks off. T-woc is celebrating the recent vinyl release of his E.P. ‘Delayed Responses 3’. As anyone who has been lucky enough to witness his live sets before will know, heavy dub rhythms and clever sampling are to be expected. His music embraces a mixture of styles – hip hop beats, dubbed out vocals and future electronics interspersed with MPC jams and a swirl of pyschadelic sound fx. The grand finale will be provided by Melodica Deathship, a brand new project from Exile Eye and George Brennan (Deep Burial). Theirs is a truly unique, future-primitive sound, tapping into many influences such as hip-hop, seventies dub, trad ballads, sea shanties and even horror film sound tracks, to name but a few. Melodica Deathship are soon to release their long-awaited first album, ‘Doom Your Cities, Doom Your Towns’.
