he makes the program work because of his deadpan couldnt care less approach. He disarms peoples usual suspicion of the press with his aparent look of conviction then hits you where it hurts when your guard is down. Sounds like codeninja to me

i loved the bit where he was interviewing a member of the local norfolk council and was talking to him about it being a popular 'dogging' location. Allen asks the guy if they can dub his voice afterwards, the guy says sure and then all of a sudden its someone in post production doing a pisstake high pitched voice over the remainder of the council reps interview. Brilliant.
