Hello!
Everyone's talking about the new packed Tuesday night club in town, Kaleidoscope! Its a little different as it takes the classical music out of the concert halls & into late-night clubs creating a salon vibe harking back to its original setting of more intimate sitting room presentations centuries ago. Music styles come from the 17th century to current times with a world premiere from Dublin composer Enda Bates.

On Friday 15th we celebrate our 1st birthday & also present a selection of the past year's performances for one night in the new Grand Social venue, please join us! Ticket holders can attend the champagne & canape reception from 7.30pm courtesy of Winding Stair, & show starts at 9pm & the new theatrical style venue!

These events have become so successful since they've started, selling out each month in Odessa club.

Long before concert halls, what we now traditionally associate with chamber music, there were performances in the intimate settings of sitting rooms or parties. Classical musicians Cliodhna Ryan and Kate Ellis, yearned to recreate this direct experience between audience & performer, and with the abundance of exceptional world-class talent that Dublin holds, it was the perfect place for this dream to come true. Hence a classical music club night called Kaleidoscope began 1 year ago on October 15th at the Odessa Club.

Curated by musicians Cliodhna Ryan, violinist with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, and Kate Ellis cellist with Crash Ensemble, Kaleidoscope is now a hugely successful monthly musical salon showcasing Ireland's most exceptional talent in an intimate and beautiful setting. Kaleidoscope allows people to experience music-making of the highest calibre in a more interactive and intimate way, where audience and artist meet through music and also through conversation during the evening.

Their curatorial approach has always been imaginative and powerful and this birthday celebration will be no exception. An evening of music which includes old, new and cross-cultural sees us present our “greatest hits” from the preceeding year, alongside a world premiere especially commissioned for our one year anniversary.

The evening's entertainment will begin with a drinks reception at 7.30pm in the newly opened Grand Social (formerly Pravda) with catering by the award winning restaurant “The Winding Stair”. Take your seats at 8.30pm with performances starting at 9pm til 11pm, followed by pop-up appearances by special guests and a DJ till late. The bar will stay open after the show and people will be encouraged to stay, converse and create!
