Japan's ninjas heading for extinction

Japan's era of shoguns and samurai is long over, but the country does have one, or maybe two, surviving ninjas. Experts in the dark arts of espionage and silent assassination, ninjas passed skills from father to son - but today's say they will be the last.

Japan's ninjas were all about mystery. Hired by noble samurai warriors to spy, sabotage and kill, their dark outfits usually covered everything but their eyes, leaving them virtually invisible in shadow - until they struck. Using weapons such as shuriken, a sharpened star-shaped projectile, and the fukiya blowpipe, they were silent but deadly. Ninjas were also famed swordsmen. They used their weapons not just to kill but to help them climb stone walls, to sneak into a castle or observe their enemies.

Most of their missions were secret so there are very few official documents detailing their activities. Their tools and methods were passed down for generations by word of mouth. This has allowed filmmakers, novelists and comic artists to use their wild imagination. Hollywood movies such as Enter the Ninja and American Ninja portray them as superhumans who could run on water or disappear in the blink of an eye.

"That is impossible because no matter how much you train, ninjas were people," laughs Jinichi Kawakami, Japan's last ninja grandmaster, according to the Iga-ryu ninja museum. (Well he woul say that...) ...

oh, hang on...that would appeal to the ladies and bear-lovers

it's a no-win situation...some of those creepy monkeys in masks would probably do the trick

Simple answer

No talking ever when one of these is around.

Why isn't there a good ninja video game? Assassin's Creed missed a beat by not doing one set in feudal Japan.
Why isn't there a good game in which you play a lowly bear who is aggresively shaved during the night, and has his mate kidnapped by some sort of evil conglomoration of taxidermists. The bear meets a time traveller from a future in which bears have become extinct but using his antropomorphism ray he embiggens the bear with the power of speech and higher brain function. Now the bear must travel through time back to the time of the ninja. He must master the martial arts (all kinds) and return to modern day Minniapolis to fight the taxidermy overlords for the return of his mate and to stop the decline in the bear population. All the while looking like a demented demon Hippo. It's a first person sandbox, puzzle based, bear on human combat simulator. It's challenging yet rewarding with a strong eco friendly message but can you solve the mystery of why the bear was shaved in the first place ?

Here you go. http://www.freearcade.com/Zplet.jav/Advent.html

You'll need to draw a map. There's a shaved bear at the end, abused by the conglomerate. Ah shit, I gave away the whole story.
