Thumped used to have a counter under each post showing how long a member had spent on the site overall. God that was horrible. I used to keep an eye of everyone else's one and as long as a few people were spending more time on Thumped than I was, I didn't feel too uneasy.

If I have actual work to get though I don't bother with the internet at all, but as all I am is a glorified phone-answering robot, I can do my job and post nonsense at the same time for the most part.

at a guess, I've been operating at anywhere between 50% all the way down to about 10% efficiency at work in the last year because of the interbastard.. mostly due to thumped and thumped related activities like finding stupid pictures etc. rock!

i click into the forum view (thumped.com/bbs) as a sort of nervous twich when i'm at the computer, most times going no further. So far today it's at about 86....
