DIG Launch Night - Friday October 20th.

This Friday 20th of October ChoiceCuts begins 'DiG', a new
weekly club-night at the Pod/Lobby Bar. Our new night promises to be a regular
party night for music lovers in Dublin. DIG will be hosted by ChoiceCuts finest
and the very best deejay crews from around Dublin along with appearances by the
some of the world's best international DJs.
For a second Dublin has been missing a regular club that caters for the music
lover. At DIG the crowd will find a connection with the deejays and likewise the
deejays will connect with the crowd through their respective love of music and
in the finest block party tradition all styles will be found in the mix. Soul,
Hip Hop, Funk, Reggae, Disco, Electro, Old School, anthems and oddities, the old
alongside the new. There is already a lot of talk about this night as crews like
Worries Outernational , Firehouse Skank, All City and Stylus will be making
regular appearances along with Tu-ki, Mek, Billy Scurry & Arveene. Deejays
like Quantic, Paul Nice, JRocc, Egon and Mad Mats are already lining up to bring
the international flavour to DiG. This has all the ingredients
to be the answer to Dublin's musical void on a friday night.
For the launch night we have none other than Irelands favourite DJ Tu-ki and
ChoiceCuts head-honcho DJ Rizm mixing in the POD. Definetely try to check this
out as Tu-Ki has been asked by DJ Dexter to share the mainstage with him at
Plastic People in London the next night (Sat 21st) after Dexter saw <A

amazing 6 minute routine in this video (quicktime .mov) so you know
this is going to be a deep set he has prepared. Sharing the turntable duties
will be DJ Rizm who has been receiving a lot of praise internationally of late
for his excellent mix recorded at Sonar 2006 in Barcelona which is <A

In The Lobby Bar we have DJ Fonetik from Dublin. His current deejay sets are
sure-shots at the moment so expect a quick mix of all things funky when Fonetik
is spinning. Well known by all record buyers in town is JB The Deejay (Road
Records) with a deep knowledge of all styles JB will be holding court in The
Lobby Bar. DJ Scope & MC Little Tree are set to join in during this session
too.
