it is. but after reading this, i hope the good people of thumped will go and check if they need booster injections for MMR or anything else random, because it's really not that fun and all it takes is one jab and you';re immunised for ten years. in any case, after you;ve had the mumps once, you wont get it again.

last year when i found out my little brother had the mumps i literally spent the whole phone conversation laughing at him. also because the word 'mumps' is funny. but back then i had no idea about the de-sterilisation bit and felt really bad after!
i have enough morals not to knowingly pass it on
