My old lady has been on about learning to play this for ages. No previous musical ability present, nor xylophone for that matter.
Anybody know how easy/dificult/impossible it is?
:)

well i have a toy one xylophone that came with a little book that showed you how to play songs, so you just hit the colours book tells you really, she'll have twinkle twinkle like that.

Otherwise i have a not toy one and it's the same as piano or whatever keys. i'm sure there are plenty of amazing solo things out there but it's usual an accompanying kind of instrument, could be a bit sparse on its own, but easier than learning piano.

The Flintsones has obviously thought you nothing. Simply tear the ribs out of an elephant/mammoth and line them up, hitting them with a bone stolen from your girls hair.

Fuck the xylophone and go for a glockenspiel, they're the business, and so easy to play, plus it's a much nicer sound. Actually scrap that and get all things necessary for a gamelan emsemble.
