For me there's genrally no horrible instruments, just horribly played ones. And the top 2 most horribly played on a regular basis are harmonicas and saxaphones.

As soon as I hear that breathey-in-and-out / rising-lowering note on a harmonica I go insane. (e.g. "one hand in my pocket" Alllaaannniiiss Morrrissetteee)

sometimes, it's the *way* drums are played that really REALLY annoys me. Like that snare/hihat STUPID stupid way of playing that constitutes not actually playing but just actual stupidness...
