help me! re: Live Vocal Looping with Pedal(s) and a Mic (1 Viewer)

anyone (presumably guitarists) know anything about live looping / multitracking using an effect pedal?

i'm clueless.

really what i want to do is have the ability at live gigs to loop short samples through a mic and add other vocals over it.

someone recommended the Line6 DL 4 pedal but i'm not picky...if anyone's got any ideas, i'm listening. ideas on models, prices, breans, etc

Try the Akai Headrush, it's what Ian Williams from Don Caballero used. There are others discussed on the Don Cab forum:

The green, line 6 sampler pedal, all you need then is a mic, an XLR - Jack lead and a jack out to a DI. just a question of practice then....

thanks for the suggestions, i've mics and cables and stuff already.

eh, is the DI box for signal boost or power supply?

most venues would have DI boxes onstage anyway, right?

The E1 Headrush has been discontinued. And I've read that the E2 is a bit crap. Boss DD-20 is pretty nice.
