Anyone know what valves a Marshall JCM 900 50W Dual Reverb Model 4501 takes?

Never changed them before. A search on the internet has proved unfruitful

I think it takes EL34's. Anyone know for sure?

Any models I've used came standard fit with 2xEL34 / 3x12AX7 valves.

You can, if you can source them, use various TV valves and most compatable Fender valves will give a slightly warmer tone.

Dead right. I found out eventualy on the web yesterday afternoon.

Apparantly any model before 1994 took EL34's and any after took 5881's or something. So I got me a set of EL34's last night.
