Boss Allardyce leaves Newcastle

Allardyce was in charge at St James' Park for 24 games

Newcastle have ended Sam Allardyce's managerial reign after eight months.
The club, currently 11th in the Premier League, said the decision had been reached by "mutual agreement".
Allardyce, who was in charge for 24 games, said: "I am disappointed to be leaving Newcastle but I wish the club all the best for the future."
Former captain Alan Shearer has been strongly linked with the post but chairman Chris Mort said: "A new manager has not yet been appointed."
First team coach Nigel Pearson will take charge of the team for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Manchester United.
Allardyce took over at Newcastle in May but he has come under increasing pressure this season, culminating in a run of three straight league defeats over the festive period.
His last game in charge was a 0-0 draw at Championship Stoke in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.
He becomes the eighth Premier League managerial casualty this season.

remember they played Real Madrid in Europe? Think it was old European Cup.

also Southampton. UEFA Cup around 1981, 1982.

Saw them play Man City as a kid - can't admit to being a fan.

Guy I used to sit beside at scholl is their Uber Fan - he used to go up to Finn harps to see them play - there was a time whan he was probably their only fan.

totally untrue. theres always at least 50-100 fans who turn out regardless.
even when we played up at the pike.

I'd take Allardyce for Ireland. He seems to be able to manage teams with loads of shite players, but just can't handle teams with good players, so he'd suit us just fine then.

Newcastle squad is terrible. Again Newcastle believe they are a big club, they will never be a big club as long as they keep sacking their managers within a year.

They where sitting mid table what was the panic they should of hung on. They need stability for a couple of season finishing in the top 6 if they are ever to move on to become a big club, yes they have the number of fans to be a big club but so do Leeds.

Chairman should stop sitting with the fans and listinig to them or he will never be able to run that club.

What's terrible about the Newcastle squad?

They have Given in nets, one of the best keepers in the Premiership.
Defence is a bit shit alright.
N'Zogbia is class, Duffers is still good, Alan Smith should be great - their midfield is good
Martins, Owen, Viduka up front. Fucking Alex Ferguson would be happy enough with that line-up! They should be banging goals in.

7 players does not make a good squad Duffer and Owen are injury prone. Alan Smith is a forward not a midfielder (no matter how much Alex Ferguson tried to make him a midfielder)

Viduka is only good when he feels like it

The Defence is more than a bit shit it's terrible

None of them players would get into Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea or Liverpool.

It's a terrible squad and it has been for a long time and changing their manager every season has not helped.

stephen taylor is the problem with newcastle. he's all blood and thunder geordie boy fans favourite gives 110% would lay down his life for the club, but he's shit, and should be dropped or sold. sold to bolton, where he's be half the player he is now, that is to say one eighth a decent player, and he could begin his slide down the divisions in earnest. and they could plug that fat hole in their defence with some one decent, rather than kowtowing to the baying, belly wobbling masses on the stands who love to see one of their own out on the pitch, humiliating himself in front of all and sundry, just like shola "plank" ameobi, and peter "don't give him the fucking ball whatever you do" ramage. of course, there's no way shearer would drop a geordie boy, is there? in fact if steven taylor stays with newcastle, and shearer takes over, his lower league career might take off without him even having to move house.

newcastle, board and fans = wankers. good fucking luck to them. they should never have stabbed uncle bobby in the back like that. one of their own. wankers.
