Speaking of which this was probably the best game of football I'd ever seen at the time. Looking back it was everything great about english football. Two brilliant teams in transition going all out attack for two hours. we finished 6th and 12th that season it was the first time in 10 years that a merseyside team wasn't in the top 2. those were the days. I'm told anyway.

2 very different incidents. The France-Brazil one shouldn't have been allowed, as has long been acknowledged. Ball comes back out off post, penalty is complete.
This other one though... the goalkeeper is a complete gobshite. There's just a lot of spin on the ball, and he lets it go in. Very negligent. Hilariously so.
